Genealogy Resources

During my years of research, I have found more than 100 websites that have helped me access some bit of information I was seeking FOR FREE. While an account may be needed, they do not charge any money.

I would like to stress the importance of getting a library card for every system you are eligible for. I am eligible for two different county library systems due to their inter-library agreement. This openes up different research resources than I would have with access to just one library system.

An example of this is the New York Public Library offering all residents of New York State access to their system, not just residents of New York City. This provides a valuable resource exclusively to New York residents. Check the library systems in your area to see what is available for you.
